Accountant – IT Company (CPT)

Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 (based on experience)

Profile : All Candidates (Caucasian/ BEE Candidate)

Role Purpose

We are hiring a fully independent Accountant to take ownership of our monthly accounting function.
⚠ This is NOT a training role.

​

Responsibilities:​​

•  Run full month-end close independently

•  Maintain 100% reconciled books (no unresolved balances)

•  Prepare accurate monthly management accounts

•  Handle VAT submissions and SARS compliance

•  Produce audit-ready files for external CA

​

Qualifications:​​

• BCom Accounting or equivalent

​

Experience:​​

•  4–7 years solid accounting experience

• Strong reconciliation and month-end experience

• Experience with accounting systems (Sage / Xero / similar)

We are not considering:

•  Junior accountants or bookkeepers

•  Candidates needing month-end training

•  Candidates without full independent experience

• Strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects

• Have a flare for numbers, work well with people.

• Ability to be flexible and able to work as part of a team.
